With an altitude of 6,088 meters, this mountain challenges you to surpass your limits and reach the steepest and most thrilling summit. But don’t worry, our expert guides with UIAGM certification will accompany you every step of the way to ensure your safety and help you reach the summit. Additionally, you will witness stunning glaciers, lagoons, and the Illimani peak. Ready for an unforgettable adventure? La Paz – Campo Casa – Huayna Potosí (4780 masl / 15,682 feet above sea level), approximate journey 2:00 to 2 hrs. In the afternoon, we head to the old glacier, approximate journey 45 min. Equipment testing and glacier practices, then return to the refuge for an overnight stay.
Base Camp – High Camp (5130 masl / 16,831 feet above sea level). Approximate journey of 3:00 to 4:00 hrs, arriving at the high camp or rock camp refuge for an overnight stay (optional use of refuge).
Ascent to the summit of Huayna Potosí (6088 masl / 19,974 feet above sea level). Departure around 3:00 am with an approximate 7-hour journey to the summit and 4 hours descent to High Camp. A brief one-hour rest, then continue the descent to base camp in approximately 2 hours. Meet with transportation and return to La Paz.

Frequently Asked Questions

No previous mountain climbing experience is necessary. With good communication and a suitable program, anyone can engage in mountain climbing. However, prior experience can be beneficial.

Cardiovascular training is required, such as running, walking, cycling, and swimming, along with good acclimatization.
