The Condoriri snow-capped mountain is nestled in a valley surrounded by impressive peaks within the Royal Mountain Range, with its striking mountains and abundant wildlife like the viscacha or Andean fox. This imposing natural wonder awaits you with its rugged peaks and shimmering glaciers. Discover a spectacular palette of colors as you venture into its valleys and gaze upon its turquoise lagoons. Get ready to challenge your limits as you climb its dizzying heights and feel the thrill with each step.

La Paz – Rinconada, Acclimatization, and Practice. We depart from La Paz in the morning after a hearty breakfast for a 3-hour car ride to Rinconada. From there, we embark on a 1.5-hour hike to the base camp, where we’ll spend the afternoon acclimatizing and practicing rope techniques.
Rinconada – Pico Austria (17,553 feet above sea level). On this day, we start around 9 am towards Pico Austria at 5,350 m above sea level (17,553 feet), with a 3.5-hour hike to the summit and an approximately 2-hour descent back to the base camp where we pack up. We then continue the descent to Rinconada, where the car picks us up and returns us to La Paz.

Frequently Asked Questions

No previous mountain climbing experience is necessary. With good communication and a suitable program, anyone can engage in mountain climbing. However, prior experience can be beneficial.

Cardiovascular training is required, such as running, walking, cycling, and swimming, along with good acclimatization.
